Our Work
The foundation is working in different fields throughout to support the upbringing and development of children. With different programs and campaigns, we achieve our goals.
Our programs
Children are the future of our country, a good upbringing could help boost their confidence and proper knowledge with nourishment can support a future that we can all rely on. We, as a foundation, took the opportunity to foster a bright future. Haritha foundation deploys different programs to help raise beautiful minds.
Education
Education is not preparation for life, education itself is life.
1. 15 crore children are out of school in India
2. More than 33 lakhs of children are hunger struck in India
3. 1 in every 4 students have dropped out of school in India
4. 72 percent of girls do not even go to school for 10 years in India
5. And more than 33 million children in India are engaged in child labor.
Our mission is to help these children, pull them out of misery, and let them join schools. Learning can let these children light up their lives. We provide children with free education at government schools. We aid children with different programs.
Our foundation believes that children have ample dedication, if we bring education to them, they could do wonders with their lives. Education will empower these children, they will gain knowledge about hundreds of aspects of their lives. We give them a chance to become better citizens of the country.
The foundation believes that to bring a bigger change, you should start with smaller initiatives. To end bigger problems, we need education. Knowledge will bridge the poverty gap, the civil gap and bring people closer. A place where everyone is equal. A place we will call the Harith land. The land of prosperity, a land of happiness.
Healthcare
“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”— Mahatma Gandhi
Healthcare has always been a challenge for our country. Those who can afford can survive, but those who cannot even afford to keep themselves healthy are affected the most. The healthcare conditions of the rural areas of our country remain poor. With a few to almost no facilities, the underprivileged are most affected by diseases.
The foundation understood the main issues were lack of services and lack of knowledge. And to solve both issues, the Haritha foundation uses two ways to tackle the situations.
By organizing health camps in rural areas, the foundation also educates the mob about healthcare. Certain awareness programs are also organized to help out the people. The foundation takes good care of children while engaging a team of qualified doctors and counselors to help these poor kids in every way possible.
Environment
“The Earth is what we all have in common.” -Wendell Berry
As the foundation's name suggests, the Haritha foundation works for the greenery of the country. With dedication and a motive in their heads, the volunteers participate in several campaigns and programs to be a part of the process where we give back to mother Nature.
We do not have another earth, we got one and we got to save the one. It is our responsibility to hold our values uptight. Haritha foundation is doing all it could to support the environmental values of the country. From growing plants to arranging cleanliness drives. The foundation works in the field of environment as well.
We extend our hands to
We not only work for our foundation, but we also support other orphanages, old age homes, and smaller foundations that are working for the betterment of the underprivileged, old citizens, women, and children of our country.
We may not be able to reach every corner of the country, but we can hold hands with the grass-root level such as smaller foundations that are helping those. The foundation aims to help out children and senile citizens of the country.
Our campaigns
Back to school
A school is a place where we learn to live a life worthy enough. There are 32 million Indian kids who have never been to school. Haritha foundation came up with the Back to School campaign to help children reach schools and get the experience of proper schooling and grooming.
Through the campaign, we assist the children of rural and slum government schools. We even provide stationeries, school bags, uniforms, and sports equipment to the children for holistic development. The campaign also assures that monetary funding is also done in the schools for the education of poor children.
Our Back to School campaign is not a catchphrase, but a strong concept that is molding itself day by day. We are expanding our area of action, with the help of our team and our volunteers.
Rehabilitation camps and workshops
The foundation helps the lost children to find a new motive in their lives. We plant a seed of hope into their hearts which later blooms into a beautiful life. The foundation runs rehabilitation camps for children who run away from their homes or have been abandoned by their parents.
In these camps expert counselors help these children, letting them heal mentally balancing their emotional base. The counselors encourage the children to return to their homes and start fresh.
We also help the children who have been through physical or mental trauma, counseling them throughout the one-on-one sessions, we let them take out all their feelings without being in any kind of fear or pressure. This campaign is a step towards the better mental health of these children.
A for art and D for Dance
The foundation not just focuses on education, but it also believes in the overall development of the personality of these children. The foundation supports and encourages children to take part in different activities like dancing, singing, arts and crafts, etc.
To support such activities, the foundation actively takes part with the schools to organize such events. A little dance session or art competition can bubble up some beautiful souls.
The Educational Godfather
If a volunteer is willing to take up the annual or ad-hoc expenses of a child’s education, then we at Haritha foundation help you out in the procedure. We let you become a godfather to a child who is looking up to you. You can help a child by becoming his/her guardian and taking up his/her educational responsibility.
The foundation will help you in pulling out all the performance-based analytical data of that child so that you can keep track of his/her educational journey. What could be better than becoming an educational godfather to someone who is dreaming of attending a day at school in that shiny blue school uniform?
